The Phakama Way
2002

This was a month-long training course held in Pune, India and hosted by the Prithvi Theatre, Mumbai. Artists from Prithvi subsequently joined the Robben Island Peace project and collaborated on a range of South African projects.

With the help of experienced facilitators from South Africa and the UK, over 30 community leaders, theatre makers, university lecturers and school teachers gathered to share ideas, exchange processes and develop local methodologies for implementing Phakama philosophies in India.

The climax of this project was a fabulous performance by young people from Mumbai.
