Rise Up is a chance for a group of young people to create, learn, collaborate and express themselves.

Each year Phakama offers artists the opportunity to apply for a bursary which acts as seed money to try out an idea for a project.

For 2020/21 we have adapted our yearly Artist and Young Artist Bursaries to respond to the difficult period of physical distancing we are encountering during the COVID-19 crisis.

Similar to the Artist Bursary, Phakama offers their team of Young Creatives and Youth Board, all aged 16-25, the opportunity to apply for a slightly smaller bursary.
